Travel by Car

From Edinburgh city centre

The Royal Highland Centre is situated just off the A8 to the west of Edinburgh. Follow signs for the showground taking the slip road towards Edinburgh Airport. Travel along Eastfield Road and turn left at the roundabout at the Hilton Hotel. Follow the directions on the AA signpost boards.

From the West

At the Newbridge roundabout, follow signs for Edinburgh city centre, A8 and the Airport. Look out for the AA signs and turn left into the West gate entrance of the Showground.

From the North

Once over the Forth Road Bridge, follow the signs for Edinburgh Airport and join the M9 spur. Follow the AA signs and enter the showground via the West gate.

There is ample car parking available at Gardening Scotland. The Royal Highland Centre apply a parking charge.

Travel by Public Transport

By Bus

Lothian Buses will operate a shuttle service, number 98, to Gardening Scotland. The buses will leave from St Andrew Square – the North Side, stopping at Haymarket and all of the Lothian number 31 bus stops on the way to the Showground. This service will be free for those with senior and concession travel cards. Fares are as follows:

Concessions      FREE if valid card holders

The Stagecoach Jet747 bus service from Fife will drop visitors off outside the Showground. Visit http://www.stagecoachbus.com/ for more information.

Citylink are no longer operating services direct to the Show but their regular services will continue.

By Rail
