Balanced Living
Gardening boosts health and wellbeing and at this year’s show the IKEA Live LAGOM project will be taking over the theatre to demonstrate how to extend that sense of harmony into all areas of life. IKEA will host three workshops each day on the simple Swedish philosophy of ‘just the right amount’. The idea is that people learn to strike a healthy balance with the world around them without having to make extreme changes or denying themselves the things they love, all the while saving energy and water, reducing waste and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
In the Gardening Scotland Theatre, catch up on the latest growing advice from the experts on Beechgrove Garden in lively Gardeners’ Question Time sessions with Jim McColl, George Anderson and Carole Baxter. And discover the secrets of growing without soil in sessions on Indoor Hydroponics.
Gardening Scotland 2018 will be a foodies’ delight, with lively sessions in the Theatre in association with the IKEA Live Lagom project. Learn how to make Curry in a Hurry, get up to speed with the latest trend in healthy fermented food, watch top chefs making delicious meals with seasonal produce and join Wendy Barrie from the Scottish Food Guide as she makes the most of Scotland’s own larder.
