The Living Garden
The positive impact of community gardens is to be highlighted in the “The Wonder of Community Gardening” garden being created by designer Heath Brown, BTCV Scotland, for Gardens for Life, as the centerpiece of this year’s Living Garden.
The Living Garden is where dozens of environmental organisations set out their stands showing visitors new ways to encourage wildlife and support the planet. The garden around which they will be centered will be designed to encourage visitors to take an interest in derelict land and develop it – not only for personal benefit – but for the good of the community as a whole. The garden will be promoting a greater understanding of the relationships between nature, biodiversity and gardening, while considering personal enjoyment, health and wellbeing.
